the apartment For a larger version of this picture, click here. I stood in the middle of the room (I have an efficiency apartment) with the camera on a tripod, and slowly made a circle. I tried to start one photograph where the last one left off, in hopes of creating a panoramic image of the place where I live. I think it partly works. It's a little rough, of course, but this is the first time I've tried anything like this. I think my biggest concern with this photograph is that certain areas of the apartment are so obviously getting more or less light. The corner where the television is in, for instance, is in the same frame as the view into the kitchen — the two spots that get the most and least light. |
People who know how to make this kind of photograph can do it really well — impressively well. But I'm not sure how they handle those little light troubles. Actually, it's not the different exposures that embarrass me most about this: it's the big window sill, which is completely bare. It's usually lined with boxes and odd objects, but building maintenance has been doing some construction in here lately. Without that stuff, it just looks so plain. — Robert
