I like this picture a lot - it's simple and
quiet and, well - simple.
Over the weekend, I saw the Toulouse-Lautrec
exhibit at the National Gallery. Pretty amazing stuff, but as always I hate
trying to look at art in crowded areas. The TL exhibit has been really
popular, so there were long lines and getting near paintings and lithographs
was a hassle. Still, it was impressive.
On the way out of the gallery, I stopped in a
smaller area and looked at some modern/abstract paintings. There was almost
no one around, and this particular room was empty save one guy staring at a
canvas that was almost entirely white.
