In 2005, I began photographing daily life in the
Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Washington, D.C. I wanted to capture the things I
believed made the area unique. Mount Pleasant, at roughly one-square mile, is a
tiny area that holds a vibrant and diverse community. The following photographs
(60 in total) are just a few the images
resulting from the project; hopefully they come together to represent the
neighborhood's diversity and sense of community.
